Electrical Facilites Engineer


In support of our client, a global automotive OEM, we are currently seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer with expertise in Direct Digital Controls (DDC) to support multiple facility projects. This long term, program-based assignment will be based at our client's facility near Murfreesboro, Tennessee and will work directly with our client's engineering and management teams to support Controls projects and perform as a subject matter expert for DDC needs.

In this role, the successful candidate will be knowledgeable in the following:

  • Honeywell Enterprise Building Integrator

  • Honeywell ComfortPoint Open

  • Honeywell ComfortPoint Open Studio

  • Panel Bus, Field Bus, and IO Bus

  • Communication protocols: BACnet MS/TP, Modbus, OPC Client/Server

  • User Administration

  • Operator Levels

  • Domain User Groups

  • Alarm Management - Responding to Alarms and Events

    • Alarm Shelving

    • Alarm Groups

    • Managing operator response to alarms

    • Creating, deleting and modifying alarms including annunciation and routing.

  • Analyzing System Data

    • Reports – All points, alarms, events

    • Trends – Types and setup

      • Creating, deleting and modifying point trend logs including graphing and printing on ad-hoc basis and operator-defined time intervals.

    • Quick Lists

    • Creating, deleting and modifying reports.

  • Graphic generation and point mapping to graphics

  • Archiving point history and events

  • Global Scheduling

  • Creating, deleting and modifying points.

  • Creating, deleting and modifying programming including ability to edit control programs off-line.

  • Adding DDC controllers and other network communication devices such as gateways and routers.

  • Performing DDC system checkout and diagnostic procedures.

  • Performing DDC controllers operation and maintenance procedures.

  • Configuring DDC system hardware including controllers, workstations, communication devices and I/O points.

  • Maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing hardware.

  • Adjusting, calibrating and replacing DDC system components.

  • DDC system software maintenance and backups.

  • Uploading, downloading and off-line archiving of all DDC system software and databases.

  • Interface with Project-specific, third-party operator software.

  • Understanding password and security procedures.

  • Adding new operators and making modifications to existing operators.
