Maintenance Manager


In partnership with our client, a tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry, we are seeking a Maintenance Manager to join this international manufacturer with a facility near Scottsboro, AL. SUMMARY

Organize and plan the equipment maintenance services, machines, buildings, and business premises in accordance with technical knowledge, directions of internal and/or legal manufacturers and standards so that there is no disturbance of the laboring.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Plan and manage maintenance activities on all production lines
  • Develop preventive maintenance studies
  • Evaluate and determine actions to minimize or eliminate production stoppages
  • Coordinate the installation and adjustment of new industrial equipment
  • Provides training in the workplace
  • Guide and treat installation activities, calibration, testing, and repair
  • To collect training needs of the employees of the department
  • Report training needs of the department to Human Resource
  • Promote continuous improvement actions within reach of their duties.
  • Participate in Improvement Groups within the Project Sprint
  • Participate in the identification of environmental aspects and its professional department risks.
  • Participate in the investigation of non-compliance and collaborate with the HSA in preventive and corrective actions applicable to the department.
  • Responsible for monitoring the provision of services of external companies, requested by this department in order to ensure compliance with the Rules HSSA
  • Responsible for reporting to the Department. HSA new projects that may be developed.
  • Responsible for participating in the identification of occupational hazards, environmental aspects of the company and determine the specific aspects.
  • Co-responsible for the goals and targets set by the HSA directions.
  • Responsible for implementing and streamline operational control rules within the company

 

EDUCATION/SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of Maintenance Manager experience
  • Knowledge of the rules of Hygiene, Safety and Environment applicable
  • Knowledge of quality standards
  • Good negotiation skills
