Production Die Cast Engineering Specialist


 

In association with our client, a producer of high-quality engine components for multiple automotive manufactures, ResourceTek is seeking a Casting Engineer for a direct hire position in East Tennessee. Primary processes include high-pressure die casting and gravity casting using aluminum material from an on-site foundry.

Production Die Cast Engineering Specialist

The Casting Engineer will be responsible for the Die Cast Production/Manufacturing process. Qualified candidates will have a background that includes a minimum of 5 years’ experience in die cast engineering, preferably in the automotive original equipment market. Responsibilities include making the die cast production/manufacturing process as efficient as possible; using various principles of engineering, technology, manufacturing and management science to achieve production goals.

Experience as a die cast engineer in the automotive parts industry is highly desirable, The Die Cast Engineer will be expected to work hand-in-hand with production technicians where you will develop, install, procure and maintain the die cast production equipment used in the manufacturing process. Products produced using this process include pistons, oil pumps, cylinder head covers, water pumps and other original equipment engine components.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • • Handling budget and expenditure.
  • • Ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • • Analysis of the data found in charts, graphs and other forms of measuring information.
  • • Analysis of operational issues and installation of new equipment.
  • • Providing your team with technical support and training.

As the production engineer of die cast manufacturing, you will have an extremely important role as you must ensure the company’s die cast manufacturing process runs as efficiently as possible. You will be expected to regularly check equipment to see it is in good working order; to help create as much product as possible with a minimum of leftover scrap.

This position has a 1st shift (8:15 AM till 5:15 PM) work schedule but this plant does run 24/7 so you may need to be on call in case of an emergency with the manufacturing production line.

Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university OR a minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a production specialist is required.
