Helpdesk Analyst/SQL Support

In support of our client, a leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Helpdesk Support Assistant / IT Support Analyst to join their team in 

This position is a long term, full time assignment with ResourceTek.  This role could go full time in the future if the selected candidate desires.

In this role, you will be provide supporting to the team responsible for the maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk. You will be responsible for administration and internal support of the Company’s PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment. Tasks include end user support, license tracking, and performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assign deployment tickets to specific individuals based on priority/site/etc after the procurement team has created the tickets

  • Organize, coordinate and input the data used to resolve the helpdesk tickets where applicable

  • Perform weekly inventory checks and coordinate with the procurement team to maintain inventory integrity

  • Manage technical refresh tickets for the team and update the master spreadsheet to show completed items

    Desktop Support Tasks:

    • Imaging – Windows 10
    • Managing setup of mobile devices – phones, tablets – Android and IOS
    • Troubleshooting issues with drivers, etc.
    • Coordinating repairs with HP
    • Setup of printers, etc. for end users
    • Installation of various software applications
    • Other tasks to be determined…. Standard desktop support


    Application Support Tasks:

    • Will run daily discrepancy reports between L2 systems, iPFS, JDE, SAP
    • Will be first point of contact for shop floor system issues, and escalate to the technical team as needed
    • Will meet with the end users for any new initiatives, to serve as functional role between end user and technical team,  and prepare summaries/scope as needed for technical team to review
    • Experience with SQL queries necessary

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications or related field

• 2 years of relevant technical experience

Technical Skills Desired:

• Working knowledge of Windows software.
• Working knowledge of technical terms related to networks in general, TCP/IP, cat6 cabling, fiber, etc.
• Previous helpdesk support and prior experience with software installation, hardware testing, ghost imaging a major plus.
