CSP Level 1 Technician


ResourceTek, a leader in technical support services, is currently seeking Electrical Technicians with controls manufacturing experience. Selected candidate will join our team on a long-term contracting basis at their plant located in Osceola, AR.

Selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of equipment in their Cold Mill area.

Job Duties Include:

  •         Responsible for computer system, PLC’s, control circuits, communication systems, I/O field devices, VFD drives/motors, measurement 
            systems, and other control equipment.
  •         Coordinate BRS, contractor, and vendor activities to install or modify electrical equipment following electrical code, manuals, schematic
            diagrams and other specifications.
  •         Work directly with all maintenance and operations personnel in a fast-paced environment to help develop a safety focused and
            productive roll mill team and support electrical teammates to help maintain a positive and efficient work environment focused on safety 
            and reliability.
  •         Train others in the electrical department on the function and maintenance of the level 1 systems and cross-train with the level 2 
            technician.
  •         Manage the design, development, implementation and procurement of hardware and/or software for level 1 improvement projects and
            provide support for other disciplines’ projects.

Required Education and Experience:

  •         Demonstrated safety focus and willingness to proactively apply it in a team environment
  •         Quality and detail oriented with superior problem solving and communication skills
  •         Highly motivated, self-directed, hands-on approach, and willing to put in extra hours or on-call support
  •         Minimum 5 years of automation experience in the metals industry (hot rolling and casting experience preferred)
  •         Previous experience with NFPA 70E safe work practices
  •         Experience interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
  •         Advanced PLC programming (Siemens preferred), regulator tuning, data acquisition/analysis, motor and drives control, communication 
            systems, and HMI experience
  •         Computer/electrical degree or equivalent training is required

 Shift and Work Environment:

  •         Typical work hours are four 12-hour shifts, which rotate days and nights. This results in working some weekends/holidays and overtime.
  •         Environment is typical for steel mill production areas, with extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and dusty/greasy areas. Physically
            demanding work will be required in the production environment.
