Job Description: ResourceTek, in support of our client, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of steel products, is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Administrative for a facility located in Houston, TX . This is a long term contract assignment. Description Selected candidate will plan and schedule various maintenance teams and coordinate and track required parts and equipment. Coordinate estimates in accordance with overall job requirements, including number/type of staff or subcontractors to be assigned and number of hours per task utilizing information from the CMMS system and on-site knowledge. Generate and provide management reports on topics tracked such as work backlog, equipment repair history, costs on equipment, and Monthly Metrics. Create Job Plans, Maintenance Plans, and Equipment within the CMMS. Use the CMMS to track Work Order history, job status, and repair costs. Also utilize the CMMS to plan and schedule maintenance work. Act as principal contact/liaison between maintenance staff or contractors and requesting department for the planning and scheduling of facility maintenance work. Maintain clear, open communication with departments/requestor to determine total scopes of work and the appropriate priority of work to be performed. Coordinate any planned shutdowns, maintenance, or service activities that could have an impact on customers' business. Identify resources required to execute the requested work. Verify the availability of those resources prior to scheduling the work. Review utilization and cost data to recommend corrective actions to reduce costs.

Job Requirements: Requirements Selected candidate will have 5+ years Maintenance Planning and Scheduling experience in a heavy industry manufacturing environment. Must have strong CMMS knowledge. SAP experience highly desired but not required. Ability to understand estimating and basic financial accounting principles needed. Candidate MUST be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Familiarity with the following equipment a strong plus: Lathes, CNC and Manual Milling Machines, Threading Cranes, Grinders, Split Die Presses, Air Compressors, Band Saws, Sandblasters, Phosphate Tanks, and Forklifts. Must be able to work independently, assess various situations, and make solid, reliable decisions for correction. Must possess excellent communication skills, be highly organized, analytical, and detail oriented. Must have sense of urgency with a focus on keeping client and management satisfaction in the forefront. Candidates will need to be SAFETY ORIENTED and have excellent communication and computer skills. Additionally, must be self-motivated, organized, team players and detail oriented.
