Aviation Planner I

Our customer, a state association within the aviation industry, is seeking the following skilled individual for a long-term (24 + months) assignment based out of Atlanta, Georgia.


Aviation Planner I


On behalf of our client we are seeking applications for an Aviation Planner I. Under minimum supervision, our client is seeking a self-starting aviation planner who is customer oriented and driven to complete airport system planning functions at a state level. Selected candidate will assist in reviews, assessments, planning, analyzing, and maintaining a Statewide Aviation System Plan. The planner would participate in studies related to statewide airport/aviation needs to include system planning, airport master planning, airport layout plans, air service, pavement, and economic impact studies. In addition, the planner will develop relationships with airport sponsors, consultants, state and federal agencies. Further responsibilities include assisting in airport state licensing programs, planning contracts, airspace safety evaluation, creation of airport directory and aeronautical charts, revenue use policy monitoring, state and federal compliance investigations, and other duties as assigned. Basic knowledge of FAA planning and compliance guidance and requirements is highly desired.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Transportation Planning, or related field.


Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the air carrier/air transportation system planning. Experience with aviation planning and/or compliance related matters are desired. One year of experience in the aviation planning field.


Position Requirements:


This is a full time position and requires office hours in Atlanta, GA. The position further requires approximately 15% travel with some overnight stays. Successful candidates will be required to submit to and pass a drug test and criminal background check.


Salary and Benefits:


Salary range is $52,000 to $72,000 annually based on qualifications and experience. A full range of competitive benefits is offered.
