JOB TITLE: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

LOCATION: Houston, TX

Duties: Participates in the definition of investment and maintenance policies for installations and equipment in a ERW pipe manufacturing plant, in line with general business policies and health, safety and environment regulations. Performs material and equipment defect analysis using Non-Destructive Testing methods such as Eddy Current, X-ray, Wet Mag Particle, and Die Penetrant methods. Oversees the execution of maintenance preventive and corrective plans and programs. Manages plans and programs in SAP PM module. Supports Engineering and Operations area in the research and assessment of new technologies, procedures and standards for the coiled tubing manufacturing process. Ensures the correct sharing and implementation of maintenance standards, procedures and best practices that apply in the mills. Ensures the proper management, cataloguing, update and sharing of all technical maintenance documentation. Supports Engineering in the project, assembly and startup of new installations and equipment. Ensures availability of proper installation procedures and verifies the AS BUILT drawings. Performs systematic analysis of critical assets to identify and solve chronic problems, improve availability, reliability and cost, and facilitate preventive maintenance activities. Evaluates critical mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems and equipment by designing and conducting research activities. Identifies critical spare parts and performs criticality analysis according to company procedure. Recommends proper levels of inventory in warehouse. Prepares budget for critical spare parts to ensure low machine downtime. Performs detail drawing analysis and equipment tree building in SAP PM Module. Evaluates critical mechanical and electromechanical systems and equipment. Designs single line diagram of the electrical systems to enhance ease of maintenance. Uses Leica Total Station for surveying purpose and installation of new equipment. Uses Laser alignment tools to verify and perform proper pump motor alignment within tolerance limit. Participates in troubleshooting of critical equipment. Uses IbaAnalyzer for the troubleshooting of equipment failure at the production lines. Ensures the application of health, safety and environment standards and practices especially for the Hydrogen and Nitrogen storage.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 12 months of engineering experience in a tubing manufacturing plant.
